This may be a bit off the usual topic, but I thought it was worth re-publishing in my words. The New york Times released an article today about trust and testosterone…curious, right?
The article talks about how society is built upon trust and when people are overly trusting things fall apart and when people trust too little the same can happen. Apparently there is a chemical that causes humans to trust one another, it is called Oxytocin. A single injection of Oxytocin would cause somebody to give all there money to a complete stranger.
that is pretty awesome. (I wish I was that stranger)
It is kinda funny to find out that testosterone of all things is the thing that makes people distrust one another. The one thing men have that women don’t has to be the trigger to distrust. ha! Go figure.
The really cool part of this article came in near the end where they discovered that the opposite of Oxytocin was testosterone. Yeah…sorry fellas. That is where they also stated that women are least likely to trust men before and during sex.(not surprising, but interesting)
Here is the link by the way.
